Barbara May is a Pennsylvania family history research specialist. She has been researching her personal genealogy since 1985. She has experience with researching Polish and German genealogy, and a focus on the SE region of Pennsylvania.

In this episode, Robin Stewart, host of "Mission: Genealogy," welcomes Barbara May, a Pennsylvania family history research specialist. She is currently conducting a One Name Study on the Polish surname, Kotlarek https://thekotlarekproject.org/. Barb is a member of The Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War, Tent #58, and the co-founder of a local genealogy interest group, Lower Bucks Genealogists. Barb was inspired to document women in her genealogy, on a website called Ladies in Our Lineage. She started her own genealogy-based podcast, Heritage Hunters. She has a special love for maps and finding ways to utilize them in her genealogy.
