There is a RootsTech app in the App Stores. It appears to be set up primarily for in-person users. It requires a code that seems to be given to paid attendees to track your sessions. But you can see the agenda, etc.

Hey, Bill. My guess is that their whole registration/confirmation system is a little tangled up at the moment. I've registered like six times, each time because the mobile or browser-based web app has told me I might not be registered.

Just yesterday I finally received a confirmation email that said "We've reserved you a complimentary pass to the RootsTech 2025 online event." I tap that and I'm redirected to a page that says I should expect an email in a few days. 🤔

I registered the day registration opened in like September. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I believe they intend for online participants to be able to participate from the mobile app. But then...who knows?

I vaguely recall something similar happening last year. They may be prioritizing paid registrants. And who can blame them for that?

Conference apps are notoriously klugy.

Yeah, I do, too. Well, I'm not sure they're in this for the money, but I agree with you about their priorities. Nobody wants to look bad in front of the boss—on site. I mean... who can blame them for THAT.

I still have a few scars from wounds suffered as an online-only vendor at online "exhibit halls" during the COVID-era shows. We had to pay for the privilege and jump through countless hoops to deliver our materials for their system well ahead of the show but received virtually zero traffic. It was painful.

If I remember correctly from the last meeting a attended, the app is for in person.

Hi I’ve been trying to figure out. Does Rootstech have an app for home participants to help with viewing programs this year? At registration I looked about & it seems the answer is probably no it doesn’t but have been trying to ask to be sure. The site page was unhelpful. I’ve asked on Threads and Bluesky but got no answers. Would you know?
