After several explorations, we've settled on a fun Q&A format. Today we shared insights for using Notes, Posts, and Comments to generously share our stories with this growing family history community.
I registered for all the Mission Genealogy Zooms and see one today. Is there one today? I can’t seem to find a post listing the upcoming dates for May other than this one. Thanks!
Good morning, Denyse. Great question and a good excuse for me to issue a reminder for TODAY's MissionGenealogy Roundtable meetings.
I keep all dates for all events listed on the calendar (MissionGenealogy.org/events, note the toggle in the top right. That will let you view events as a "pinboard" to show all events.)
I see the confusion though. I'd put out a meeting poll to pick the time for our May Q&A but haven't yet added the June and following events to the calendar. My thinking was that I'd ask for feedback on the voting strategy at our roundtable sessions today.
We have not one but two of our roundtable sessions today (Tuesday, May 13). You'll find them of today's roundtable meetings with looks to the Zoom registration pages on the calendar. I'm very pleased that Bill Moore and Diane, the Family History Bowerbird have agreed to help me by co-hosting the Atlantic- and Pacific-friendly gatherings.
Generally, I've planned Mission Genealogy Q&A sessions for the first Tuesday of the month, (that's June 3rd, next month). The only question is whether we should put the time of day up for a vote or just alternate Atlantic-friendly vs. Pacific-friendly times. (As I see it, both times are not unreasonable for folks here in the Americas, 10 AM/ 1 PM PT/ET vs. 4/7 PM PT/ET, but one of them is unfriendly to either Europe or the Pacific Rim. I want to find a way to be inclusive.)
Ahh I see the problem now. I can only see “Events” on desktop and not in the app. I was searching the posts on my phone. Well I missed it again because I didn’t see your reply until after 1.
Really looking forward to watching this properly when I can ... Managed the first 10 minutes before being interrupted ... It's a bit tricky when travelling with a talkative person in a confined space 🙄! Will catch up eventually ...
I was very interested in the talk about the effects of different types of restacks of notes and posts. Your document for download looks super useful as well. I look forward to catching up with the rest soon.

I really appreciate all these tips. Thank you.
