Thank you!! Arghhhh, my brain steadfastly refuses to accept Substack's double menu items: two Settings, two Dashboards, etc. I had to go through it like it was my first day of kindergarten.

Oh, I know. Once I cracked that, it was a huge discovery. Just remember YOU are not your PUBLICATION. If you think about it that way, it’s not so hard to figure out why where are separate configurations… I just wish they weren’t both called “settings.”

I still think their UI is fundamentally challenged by the words they give things. I mean… what does “Chat” with one person have to do with the outbound messages a publication shares with their subscribers. Thats… also called chat? Makes no sense.

Hang in there.

I try to keep that in mind but my brain says, "No, NO, it says SETTINGS!" I also am having an extraordinarily difficult time trying to Recommend. I click Add and when I put in the precise @ or name of publication, it brings up the same two completely unrelated publications. Either it's a glitch or Substack has gotten into the gin.

Okay.... "gotten into the gin," I have to think the engineers will love hearing that one. 🍸🥴 Reaching out in a DM to see if I can duplicate what you're seeing.
